1. Small Star products and/or services
refer to the Small Star application and related services that we provide, including but not limited to account registration and login, Bluetooth device discovery and connection, audio playback, translation or AI-assisted features, customer support, software updates, and related account and security services.
2. Shenzhen Dingding Intelligent Information Technology Co., Ltd.
is the operator of the Small Star application and the data controller described in this Policy.
3. User
refers to any natural person who registers, logs in, accesses, or uses Small Star products and/or services, and is also referred to as "you" in this Policy.
4. Affiliates
refer to any entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with us. "Control" means the power to direct management or policies through equity, contract, or other lawful means.
5. Account
refers to the account you create or use when you register for or log in to Small Star services. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and are legally responsible for activities carried out through your account.
6. Personal information:
Person information refers to any information recorded electronically or otherwise that can identify a natural person alone or in combination with other information, including but not limited to the natural person's name, date of birth, ID number, personal biometric information, address, and telephone number. For the avoidance of doubt, personal information includes but is not limited to sensitive personal information.
7. Personal sensitive information:
Personal sensitive information refers to personal information that, once leaked, illegally provided or abused, may endanger personal and property safety, easily lead to damage to personal reputation, physical and mental health, or discriminatory treatment. Personal sensitive information includes but is not limited to identity document number, personal biometric information, bank account number, communication content, and health and physiological information.
8. Personal Information Subject :
The Personal Information Subject refers to the natural person identified by the Personal Information.
9. De-identification:
De-identification refers to the process of technically processing personal information to make that subject of personal information can’t be identified without the aid of additional information way.
10. Anonymization:
Anonymization refers to the process of making the subject of personal information unidentifiable through technical processing of personal information and the processed information can’t be restored.
11. Device
means any terminal used to access Small Star services, such as a smartphone, tablet, or other compatible smart device.
12. Universally Unique Identifier :
Identifier A unique device identifier (UUID) is a string of characters programmed into a device by its manufacturer that can be used to uniquely identify the device (IMEI number for mobile devices). Universally Unique Identifier have a variety of uses, including for advertising when cookies can’t be used.
13. IP Address
IP Address Every device that accesses the Internet is assigned a number, called an Internet Protocol (IP) address. These numbers are usually assigned based on geographic location. An IP address can usually be used to identify the location of a device when it is connected to the Internet.
14. SSL
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is also known as the secure socket layer. It is a security protocol implemented on the transmission communication protocol (TCP/IP). SSL supports various types of networks and provides three basic security services, all of which use public key and symmetric key technology to achieve information confidentiality.
15. Information Collection Technology :
The "automatic collection" described in this Policy includes the following methods:
(1)Cookie
A cookie is a small text file that the website server places on the client (your computer, mobile phone or other smart terminal) when you browse the website. It can be used to improve your user experience.
(2)Log files
Log files store certain data collected automatically, including Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
(3)ET Tag (Entity Tag)
ET Tag is an HTTP protocol title transmitted behind the scenes between the Internet browser and the Internet server. It can replace Cookie and be used to track individual users, allowing us to better understanding and improve our services.
(4)JavaScript
JavaScript is a programming language used to make more interactive and dynamic web pages.JavaScript can set cookies, read cookies, and delete cookies.
We follow the principles of legality, legitimacy, necessity, and good faith when collecting and using your personal information.
1. Information you actively provide
To register, log in, and use certain Small Star services, you may provide information such as your email address or mobile phone number, verification code, account password, nickname, language preference, feedback content, and other information you choose to submit. If you refuse to provide information necessary for a core function, we may be unable to provide that function.
2. Information generated during your use of the App
To maintain account security, improve service stability, support connected device functions, and optimize user experience, we may collect and process the following categories of information:
2.1 Account and security information:
login records, logout records, token or session status, password change records, operation time, and related security verification information.
2.2 Device and network information:
device model, operating system version, app version, device identifiers allowed by the operating system, IP address, network type, crash logs, performance data, and other information reasonably necessary to keep the App operating securely and reliably.
2.3 Bluetooth and nearby device information:
when you use device discovery, pairing, connection, or management features, we may access Bluetooth status, nearby Bluetooth device information, and related connection logs. On some platforms, location permission may be required by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning.
2.4 Microphone and voice data:
when you use voice-related features such as voice translation, voice chat, or speech recognition, we may access your microphone and process the audio you submit to provide the corresponding feature. We will not access your microphone when you are not using a voice feature.
2.5 Local storage and preferences:
we may store app settings, playback preferences, language settings, history records, cached resources, and related operational data on your device in order to improve usability and support normal operation.
2.6 Notifications:
if you enable notifications, we may use the relevant push capability provided by the operating system or service provider to deliver important service notices, device-related notices, or security reminders.
2.7 Customer support information:
when you contact us, we may collect the information you provide, such as your contact details, account identifier, device details, screenshots, logs, and issue description, in order to investigate and resolve your request.
2.8 Information and data about the use of software and related services:
we may record feature usage frequency, error information, performance information, and related diagnostic data to improve product quality and service stability.

1.Entrusted Processing:
In order to provide you with more complete and higher-quality services, we may entrust service providers to process certain personal information on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, account security, message delivery, customer support, or technical maintenance. We will enter into appropriate agreements with such providers and require them to process your data only for authorized purposes and under confidentiality and security obligations.
2.Sharing :
We will not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals other than the service providers of this product, except in the following circumstances:
(1)Sharing with explicit consent: We will share your personal information with other parties after obtaining your explicit consent.
(2)Sharing under legal circumstances: We may share your personal information with external parties in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, the needs of litigation dispute resolution, or the requirements of administrative or judicial authorities in accordance with the law.
(3)Sharing with affiliates: We may share information with our affiliates where necessary for unified account security, service continuity, customer support, lawful compliance, or internal operational management, and only within the minimum scope necessary.
(4)Third-party SDKs and technical services: At present, Small Star uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to support push notifications. If we add other third-party SDKs or service providers in the future and they involve personal information processing, we will update this Policy or provide additional notice as required by law.

3. Transfer:
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual, except in the following circumstances:
(1)Transfer with explicit consent;
(2)Transfer when necessary in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, legal procedures, mandatory administrative or judicial requirements;
(3) In the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation of the service provider of this product, or other circumstances involving a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation, if personal information is transferred, we will require the new company or organization that holds your personal information to continue to be bound by this Policy. Otherwise, we will require the company, organization, or individual to re-solicit your authorization and consent.
4. Public Disclosure :
We will only disclose your personal information publicly in the following circumstances:
(1)With your explicit consent or based on your active choice, we may disclose your personal information publicly;
(2)We may disclose your personal information publicly when required by law, legal process, litigation or government authorities.
(3) If we determine that you have violated laws and regulations or seriously violated the relevant agreement rules of this product, or in order to protect the personal and property safety of users of this product and its affiliates or the public from infringement, we may disclose your personal information, including relevant violations and measures that this product has taken against you, with your consent in accordance with laws and regulations or the relevant agreement rules of this product.
5. Exceptions to obtaining prior authorization and consent when sharing, transferring, and publicly disclosing personal information In the following circumstances, sharing, transferring, and publicly disclosing your personal information does not require your prior authorization and consent.
(1)Related to our performance of obligations prescribed by laws and regulations;
(2)Those directly related to national security or national defense security;
(3)Directly related to public safety, public health, or major public interests;
(4)Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgment;
(5)For the purpose of protecting your or other individuals’ life, property and other major legal rights and interests, but it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual;
(6)Personal information that you disclose to the public on your own initiative;
(7)Personal information is collected from information that is lawfully disclosed to the public, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure, and other channels.
Please be aware that according to legal provisions, sharing and transferring de-identified personal information, while ensuring that the data recipient can't restore and re-identify the subject of the personal information, doesn't constitute external sharing, transfer or public disclosure of personal information, and the storage and processing of such data will not require additional notification to you and your consent.
1. We attach great importance to the privacy and personal information protection of users, and will take reasonable measures to protect users' personal information. Except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or agreed upon in this policy, we will not disclose or disclose users' personal information to third parties without the user's permission, and will use professional encryption to store and transmit relevant information to ensure the security of users' personal information.
(1)Small Star will use various security technologies and procedures to establish a complete management system to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
(2)According to relevant laws and regulations, we don't need to obtain your authorization or consent to collect your personal information in the following circumstances:
• related to our performance of obligations required by laws and regulations;
• related to national security and national defense security;

2. We may conduct statistical, analytical, and operational research on de-identified or anonymized data to improve our products and services, provided that such data cannot reasonably identify any specific individual.
3. Data security measures
(1)We will adopt security protection measures that meet industry standards, including establishing reasonable management procedures and technical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, tampering, or loss of personal information. For example, we may use encrypted transmission, encrypted storage where appropriate, access control, environment isolation, logging, and internal management mechanisms, and we only allow personnel and service providers with a legitimate need-to-know to access relevant information under confidentiality obligations.
(2)We will take all reasonable and feasible measures to ensure that no irrelevant personal information is collected. We will only retain your personal information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this policy, unless the retention period needs to be extended or is permitted by law.
(3)The Internet is not an absolutely secure environment, and emails, instant messaging, and communication with other users are not encrypted. (4)The Internet environment is not 100% secure. We will do our best to protect the security of any information you provide to us. If a personal information security incident unfortunately occurs, we will handle it in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and notify you when required.
1. How we store information
(1)Location of information storage
Small Star will store your personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Unless otherwise required by law or necessary for the relevant service, information collected about you will generally be stored on servers located in mainland China or in other lawful locations selected by us or our authorized service providers.
• There are clear provisions in laws and regulations;
• obtain your explicit authorization;
• It is necessary for cross-border service delivery or technical support that you actively request or use.
(2)Duration of storage of information
Generally speaking, we will retain your personal information only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. However, in the following cases, we may adjust the retention period of personal information in order to comply with legal requirements:
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations and other relevant provisions;
• To comply with a court judgment, ruling or other legal process;
• To comply with the requirements of relevant government agencies or legally authorized organizations;

After you terminate the use of Small Star services, we will stop collecting and using your information unless otherwise required by laws, regulations, or regulatory authorities.
When the relevant services cease operation, we will notify you in a reasonable manner and delete or anonymize your retained personal information within a reasonable period, except as otherwise required by law.
In accordance with relevant Chinese laws, regulations, and standards, as well as common practices in other countries and regions, we guarantee that you can exercise the following rights over your personal information. You can refer to the following steps to perform relevant operations:
1. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information, except for exceptions provided by laws and regulations. You can manage your information in the following ways:
(1)To access/modify your account information, you can follow the steps below to access/modify your login password:

(2)To access or update certain local preferences or history data, you may use the corresponding feature settings within the App where available.
2. Change the scope of your authorization or withdraw your authorization
Uninstalling the APP means that you withdraw your authorization. Please understand that after you perform the above operations, we will no longer be able to provide you with the services corresponding to the withdrawal of consent or authorization, but it will not affect the processing of personal information previously carried out based on your authorization.
3. Deregister your account
If the App currently provides an account cancellation feature, you may follow the corresponding in-app path to submit a cancellation request. If no self-service cancellation entry is available, you may contact us through the contact information in Article 10 of this Policy. Account cancellation is generally irreversible. Once your account is cancelled, we will stop providing related services and handle your account data in accordance with applicable law.
4. Respond to your above requests
We will take appropriate technical measures to support your lawful request to access, correct, delete, or otherwise manage your personal information. To protect security, we may first verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within a reasonable period in accordance with applicable law.
Please note that we will not be able to respond to your request in the following circumstances:
(1)Related to our performance of obligations prescribed by laws and regulations;
(2)Those directly related to national security or national defense security;
(3)Directly related to public safety, public health, or major public interests;
(4)Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgment;
(5)We have sufficient evidence to show that you have subjective malice or abuse of rights;

(7)responding to your request will cause serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals or organizations;
(8)Involving trade secrets.
We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information. We will collect, use, or disclose the personal information of children or minors only where permitted by law, with guardian consent where required, or where necessary to protect their lawful rights and interests.
(1)For data that can be identified as children’s personal information, we will collect, use or disclose the personal information of children or minors in strict accordance with the requirements of the 《Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Minors》,《the Regulations on the Protection of Children’s Personal Information Online 》and other laws and regulations.
(2)If you are a minor, you should obtain the consent of your guardian in advance before using the relevant services and read this policy under the supervision and guidance of your guardian.
(3)If you are a child under the age of 14, please obtain the consent of your guardian before submitting personal information or using any account-based service.
(4)We will use various security technologies and procedures to establish a sound management system to protect the personal information of minors to prevent unauthorized access, use or disclosure. However, please note that no security measures are completely reliable.
1. In order to provide you with better services, Small Star products or services may be updated and changed from time to time. We may revise this Policy accordingly. However, without your explicit consent where required by law, we will not reduce your rights under this Policy.
2. After this Policy is updated, we will publish the updated version through the App, website, or other reasonable channels and, where required, remind you to review the updated Policy through notices, pop-ups, or similar methods. If you do not agree with the revised Policy, you may stop using the relevant services.
3. For major changes, we will also provide more prominent notifications (we will explain the specific changes to this policy through methods including but not limited to emails, text messages, or special reminders on the browsing page). Major changes referred to in this policy include but are not limited to:
(1)Our service model undergoes major changes, such as the purpose of processing personal information, the type of personal information processed, and the way personal information is used;
(2)Major changes occur in our ownership structure, organizational structure, etc., such as changes caused by business adjustments, bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions, etc.;

Any disputes related to this policy shall be resolved through friendly negotiations between the parties; if the dispute can't be resolved through negotiations, such disputes shall be subject to the applicable laws and jurisdiction as determined by law.
If any court of competent jurisdiction rules or determines that any provision of this Policy is invalid, such provision will be removed from this Policy, but the invalidity of such provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Policy. The remaining provisions of this Policy will continue to be enforced.
